Paintings I'd Die For
In a time in which slickness prevails and many paintings wish to prove something more than their soul and loving presence, these artists have not escaped my mind because of these very qualities. I am not saying that they cannot be about much more; but for me personally, in this specific grouping and context, sentimentality just may come first.
Along with the work, each artist submitted a writing. If the artist was present they read their piece. If not, I read their piece.
The show cost $5 to enter and the total earnings was split equally between the artists and I.
